We had the privilege of reproducing A Maritime Heritage Out of Auckland Revisited. Through a new design process of rescanning and retouching the original 1960 and 1976 enlarged editions, we have reproduced this highly sought after book in a case bound limited edition. As well as being enhanced by a considerable number of additional photographs the new version retains the valuable Register of Ships and a comprehensive index.

A Maritime Heritage Out of Auckland - Revisited is a second reprinted edition (2024) to the 1976 published edition which was the enlarged version of Out of Auckland which was published by the author in 1960. As well as being enhanced by a considerable number of additional photographs the new version retains the valuable Register of Ships and a comprehensive index.
While this re-print of ‘A Maritime Heritage’ is simply that, an acknowledgment is due to the original author, my late father, Clifford W. Hawkins. The time and energy involved in his research initially undertaken in the years prior to the production of ‘Out of Auckland’ in 1960 and with further work undertaken in the production of the 1978 re-print is timeless and is today a monument and the new re-print is a dedication to this work.
A special mention should be included with reference to the support from the NZ Maritime Museum, in particular Mr Vincent Lipanovich, the CEO. Without the Museum’s support the re-print might not have been possible.
